Rental Season Calendar

   Terms And Conditions   

OfficeHours
Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday.  Office is closed on Sunday's and Holidays all year round.  No departures or returns can be scheduled on these days.

Vehicle Pick Up/Return
Vehicle departure time is between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Departure times ONLY may vary depending on the amount of units leaving on a given day and availability.

Vehicle drop off time is between 8:30 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. only.  Returns after 11:00 A.M. may be subject to a late return fee of $100 plus the daily rate for each day.

Customer agrees that he will return unit in the same condition as he received it (excluding normal wear).  Damages or loss of equipment will be paid for by the renter.  Holding tanks (Black & Grey water) must be emptied prior to return of the vehicle or be subject to an additional dump charge of up to $250. If you wish to have water tanks filled prior to pick up please let us know at time of booking.

Optional Rental Equipment -  Generator usage on Motor Homes is charged at $2.00 per hour Generators for use with Travel Trailers is $20 per day of rental.  Wireless Brake Controllers are $50 for the duration of the rental. Weight Distribution set up is $59.95 for the duration of the rental.  Please NoteThe Generator for Travel Trailers, Weight Distributions and Wireless Brake Controllers are limited on their availability.

Rental Day
The Rental Day is based on number of nights the vehicle is used.  Each night constitutes a rental day.  Rental charges are based on rates in effect at pick-up day. There is a 3 day minimum on all rentals.

Early Returns, Late Pick Ups, and Unused Miles
No refunds will be made for early returns, late pickups, or unused miles except for unused estimated mileage charges.

Reservation Down Payment
Upon confirmation of rental dates, the security deposit is required by credit card to make the reservation.

Security Deposit
A minimum security deposit and total estimated rental charges are payable at departure in the amount of $1,000 for motor homes, $500 for travel trailers and $500 for folding trailers by credit card. Personal checks and ATM cards are NOT accepted without prior approval.  For certain rental applications, security deposits may be increased at Specialty RV Sales' sole discretion.  Credit card deposits are processed and charged at the time of booking your reservation. Your credit card may have a daily limit. Please check with your credit issuing authority in advance to ensure coverage of all charges at departure.  With payment of estimated rental charges other than by a credit card, a minimum deposit of $1,000 is required at departure.  Upon return within 5-7 business days of the rental returned, all extra charges, if any, are balanced against the security deposit and a credit or check issued to cover the refund.  

Cancellation policy ---30 Days or more prior to pick up-----100% refund of your deposit, 29 Days or less prior to pick up-----100% of your deposit will be forfeited.

Insurance Requirements
Tent Trailers, Expandables, and Travel Trailers include Collision and Comprehensive coverage with a $500.00 deductible that is the responsibility of the renter. Liability coverage on tow vehicle is required and must transfer     back to the rental trailer. All Motor Homes require a binder policy to be provided by renters insurance company     with Specialty RV Rentals, LTD listed as additional Insured. If a binder policy is not available, renters can purchase coverage through MBA Insurance, ask representative for details.

Driver Requirements
Qualified drivers 25 years of age or older, possessing a valid and identifiable driver's license. A major credit card, references, and employment are required as identification prior to rental and will be verified. All drivers must be listed on and sign the Rental Agreement and will be bound by Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement, at vehicle pickup.

Familiarization Tour
Familiarization tour (approximately 30 minutes to one hour) is required to acquaint the customer and drivers with the operation of the vehicle before departure. This tour is only given during office hours.

Substitutions
We will make every effort to provide the customer with the model requested. We reserve the right to substitute models of similar or higher grade. Should a model of lower grade be offered and accepted, liability will be limited to refund of price differential between model paid for and model taken.

Optional Use Generator
Motor Homes are equipped with generators. A generator is not necessary for normal vehicle operation and is subject to frequent service interruption. If customer chooses to use generator, extra charges will accrue at $2 per hour as determined by an installed running time meter.

Parking/Traffic Violations & Toll Fees occurring during rental        
Customers are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking/traffic violations at rental termination. All toll fees occurring during any rental are the responsibility of the renter.  Non-reporting of parking/traffic violations or non payment to toll booths breaches the Rental Contract and may result in an administrative charges of up to $100 in addition to the fines.

Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories
Vehicles are NOT allowed to be driven to Alaska, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.

Mexico
Vehicles are NOT permitted to travel into Mexico.

Fuel Information
No warranties are made concerning fuel mileage and fuel tank capacity. We assume no liability for fuel consumption rates. All gasoline and all propane refueling during the trip are at the customer's expense.

Pets
NO pets are allowed in any rental units.

Towing
Towing is NOT permitted of any kind on our Motor Homes, Vans, or Travel Trailers.  

Exterior Storage
Sorry, storing items on rental vehicle roofs or exteriors is not permitted. The exception to this would be our Travel Trailers with storage racks mounted to the frame by the manufacturer.

Maintenance and Breakdown Responsibility
The customer is responsible for checking engine oil, fluids, and coolant levels at each refueling, as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at rental. Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event the vehicle is in breakdown repair for 12 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to refund of daily rate or portion thereof.  Radio, air conditioning, refrigerator, loss of perishable foods, microwave and appliances, cruise control, plumbing issues and generator malfunctions are not considered breakdowns and no refunds are available for repair time or replacement to these items.
